Seminar on Reduced Order Models at Sapienza University of Rome

On Thursday the 28th of September 2017 at 12:00 p.m., as part of the seminar activities of the doctoral course in Aeronautical and Space Engineering of the Sapienza University of Rome, Haysam Telib will give a seminar on
“The role of Reduced Order Models in future industrial simulation eco-systems”.

Additive manufacturing, distributed and integrated sensing and accurate simulation technology are three emerging technologies that can have a significant impact on the product definition process within manufacturing industries.
In this framework, well established convictions, regarding the equilibrium between physical prototyping and numerical simulation may not hold in the near future. The seminar will discuss the role of Reduce Order Models in this challenging scenario and will illustrate some examples how these models are already employed in aerodynamic shape optimisation.
