OPTIMAD Engineering is pleased to announce the publication on Journal of Computational Physics (JCP) of the article Alice Raeli, Michel Bergmann, Angelo Iollo – A finite-difference method for the variable coefficient Poisson equation on hierarchical Cartesian meshes – Volume 355, 15 February 2018, Pages 59-77, JCP.
The authors developed a new finite difference scheme for elliptic problems on quadtrees/octrees using bitpit’s module PABLO as grid manager. Thanks to its ease of use, its efficiency in information and data access and its transparency to parallel communications management, the bitpit’s module allows them to focus on the numerical problem without the burden of a parallel load balanced adaptive grid manager implementation.
